Your campaign earnings are based on verified attendance, not on how a guest is scanned at the door. Whether the door team scans a QR code or finds a guest by name on the list, your performance record updates the same way once the check-in is confirmed.
How check-ins affect your earnings
When a guest registers using your attributable link, they are linked to your campaign engagement. Their attendance counts towards your performance as soon as they are successfully checked in.
- The guest arrives and presents their QR pass or gives their name.
- Door staff scan the code or search the guest list manually.
- The system records one active check-in for that guest.
- Your dashboard immediately reflects the new verified arrival.
- The amount moves from estimated to under review once the event enters closeout.
Manual name searches carry the same weight as QR scans. The source of the check-in action does not change the attribution.
What happens if a check-in is voided
Organisers and door supervisors can undo a check-in if a mistake was made or a guest leaves shortly after arriving. This is called voiding a check-in.
If a guest you referred is checked in and then later voided:
- The guest's status returns to 'not arrived'.
- The verified arrival count for your campaign is reduced.
- Any estimated or approved earning associated with that specific arrival is reversed.
The system creates a compensating record to remove the value from your payable balance. You are not paid for arrivals that are not finalised.
Where to check your status
You can track these changes in real time:
- Visit [Campaigns](/app/campaigns) to see your current verified arrivals.
- Go to [Earnings](/app/promoter/earnings) to view the breakdown of estimated, approved and reversed amounts.
- Open a specific [Event Engagement](/app/promoter/events/[engagementId]) to see the detailed list of guests who have checked in under your link.
