How to copy an event you have run before

Creating a similar event

At present, you cannot automatically clone or duplicate an existing event within your workspace. If you wish to run an event similar to one you have organised before, you must create a new event from scratch.

This process ensures that all dates, times and guest-list settings are fresh and accurate for the new occasion.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Log in to your organiser workspace.
  2. Navigate to Events and select Create new event.
  3. Follow the three-step mobile creation flow:
  • Enter the new event name and select the atmosphere.
  • Choose the venue (searching the shared directory to avoid duplicates) and set the new start and end times.
  • Review the details and save as a private draft.
  1. Open the new draft event to configure your guest-list rules, description and artwork.
  2. If you used managed promotion previously, re-invite your promoters or select existing ones from your network to generate new attributable campaign links.
  3. Publish the event when you are ready to accept registrations.

What carries over automatically

While the event record itself is not copied, the following elements remain available to you without re-setup:

  • Venues: If you used a venue previously, it is already in the shared directory. You can search and select it again instantly; it does not require re-approval.
  • Promoters: Your relationship with promoters exists at the network level. You can invite the same individuals to your new campaign from your promoter list.
  • Team members: Your door staff and event managers retain their roles in the workspace and can be assigned to the new event immediately.

Important differences to check

Because this is a new event record, please verify the following before publishing:

  • Dates and times: Ensure the new UTC instants and time zones are correct.
  • Guest-list capacity: Reset any limits specific to the new night.
  • Campaign terms: Managed promotion campaigns are tied to specific events. A new event requires a new campaign engagement and terms acceptance from your promoters.

Once published, your new event will have its own public link and QR codes distinct from your previous events.
